Clinical Supervision

Supervision is a critical component of ITA’s network and credentialing process. We’re building a worldwide network of verified clinical supervisors for our applicants to complete mandated supervision hours.

Supervision Processes

Supervision Policies & Process

All applicants applying for the CIT credential can begin supervision at any time. Credentialing applicants must complete at minimum of 20 hours with an ITA approved supervisor while completing their practicum requirement.

How it works:

1. During their credentialing process, students select, or are assigned a clinical mentor inside their applicant dashboard.

2. Students must complete at least 20 direct supervision hours with their mentor.

3. Applicants log supervision hours in the applicant dashboard. Once all supervisions and practicum hours are completed, applicants can then submit for final the final CIT credential.
