The ITA™ is a credentialing body that provides professional recognition to practitioners working in mental health outside the diagnosis-and-treatment model. Our therapists use somatics, mindfulness, yoga, parts work, and other alternative modalities to support clients with mental health.

Our certification standards set clear and rigorous standards for practitioners that also encourage freedom of choice in education and participation from a variety of educators.

Meet Educational Requirements

Certified Integrative Therapists must meet the 1,200 hour educational requirements, divided into Primary and Secondary education.

Complete Supervised Practice

CITs must complete 100 hours of client sessions while under supervision from a certified Supervisor.

Apply for Credentialing

Once education and supervision requirements are met, students can apply to become a Certified Integrative Therapist.

Continuing Education

CITs are required to complete at least 20 hours of Continuing Education every 2 years in order to maintain their credential.
